Our 2008 Holiday Food Drive was a huge success! Great job Team Kiwanis!
Thank you to all our volunteers from the Petaluma & Cotati-Rohnert Park
Kiwanis Clubs, our Cruisin' The Blvd. team, and our friends & family who
helped make it so great! Our generous community donated 94 turkeys,
over seventy $10 and $20 pre-packaged food bags, $932.42 in cash & checks,
and over 375 pounds of additional non-perishable food items. It was an
amazing day! All donations went directly to our local Petaluma Peoples
Service Center for Meals on Wheels (who plan to feed 450 homebound
recipients), and The Petaluma Kitchen and Christmas Cheer (who help feed
750 families). A huge thank you to our Lucky store managers...Neal
Hutchinson and Robby Murcia for all their help, fun, and generosity!
You guys did an awesome job! Thank you Lance Lew and Kim Thom from NBC
for working with us Saturday morning. We hope you had as much fun as we
did. Thank you to John Farley, Governor Dan Connolly, San Jose Kiwanis
Chairmen Steve Cox & Greg Landers (way to go Greg!) and Lt. Gov. Rich
Fuller for including us in your PR, your visits, and for cheering us on.
You all made it a memorable event! Happy Thanksgiving to all!
